Pittsburgh Welcomes the Institute of Christ the King

St. John XXIII Parish is overjoyed to welcome Canon William Avis and Canon John O’Connor from the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest as their new pastor and parochial vicar. With Mass attendance and parish registration already increasing, this new administration by the Institute promises exciting changes in the months and years to come!

Recording New Music with the Schola

Youth Choirs Record New Album

The youth choirs of St. John XXIII Parish have recorded an 18-track album entitled Jubilate et Gaudete. The album is a collection of chant, rounds, and sacred polyphony, sung by the Pueri Cantorum (children’s choir) and the Gradus Cantorum (young adult choir). ACDA Eastern Conference 2018

Worldwide Exposure for Pittsburgh’s Latin Mass

Last month’s Solemn High Mass at St. Paul Cathedral was a tremendous success. With hundreds in attendance, the Mass was televised live and streamed online by EWTN. In total, the online stream received over 47,000 views, with hundreds of comments, prayers, and Mass intentions from across the world!
