Worldwide Exposure for Pittsburgh’s Latin Mass
Last month’s Solemn High Mass at St. Paul Cathedral was a tremendous success. With hundreds in attendance, the Mass was televised live and streamed online by EWTN. In total, the online stream received over 47,000 views, with hundreds of comments, prayers, and Mass intentions from across the world!

Una Voce Dicentes
John was an editor on a project to print a compendium of Gregorian chant instruction and music, which will serve as a “textbook” for the Youth and Adult choirs of St. John XXIII Parish. Selections include an introduction to chant notation, a full Kyriale with all 16 Mass settings, and a solid foundation of chant repertoire from the entire liturgical year.
Chant Camp 2017
A wonderfully energetic group of nearly 30 children and young adults participated in the very first “Chant Camp” at St. John XXIII Parish this month! Campers were introduced to the fundamentals of Gregorian chant, with lessons and activities teaching chant notation, Latin pronunciation, vocal technique, solfege, and modality. To top it off, the campers were invited to perform their newly-learned chants at Sunday’s High Mass on August 20th!

St. Vincent Camerata Concert: 4/22 and 4/23
John will be singing with the St. Vincent Camerata this weekend for a concert featuring the works of Vierne, Faure, and Palestrina. The concert will begin at 7pm Saturday, April 22, in the Saint Vincent Basilica (in Latrobe), and will be repeated at 4:30pm Sunday, April 23, at St. Bernard Church (in Mount Lebanon).
