White Ball Productions was proud to partner with the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, TX to screen their film Grandpa and Shorty! The movie was shown twice in the Neal Kearby Theater on Saturday, July 25th as part of the museum’s Family Summer Day, which also featured activities for kids (and adults), a scavenger hunt, and Blue Bell ice cream treats.

With a very positive reception from the audience, the White Ball team was also able to engage with veteran attendees and hear their stories. Perhaps the greatest highlight of the day (aside from the kind feedback from viewers) was the appreciative expression from these veterans when the team presented an exclusive Grandpa and Shorty challenge coin to each of them, thanking them for their service. Exchanging challenge coins is a time-honored tradition in the US military. They are commemorative tokens used to represent membership in a particular unit, recognize an achievement, or enhance camaraderie among service members.

The energizing atmosphere of mutual gratitude, connection, and appreciation between civilians and soldiers continues to be the most prized fruit of this film, and is precisely the reason for its creation. It continues to drive the team through the next exciting stage of the film’s journey: marketing for nationwide distribution! White Ball Productions is now developing the official, finalized “pitch package” for the film, which will be paired with the film’s trailer as the definitive marketing presentation for distribution boutiques and exhibitors across the country.

Please enjoy a few pictures of the event below. Very special thanks to the staff at the National Medal of Honor Museum for their accommodation and support!
