Regina Caeli
After a beautiful and successful Easter Triduum, the Schola Cantorum of St. John XXIII Parish would like to acknowledge and thank Christoph Dalitz for sharing his inspirational talent for sacred polyphony. He has generously designated his sacred music works for “free use,” which allows anyone to print, perform, or record those works without cost. His splendid arrangement of Regina Cæli is a featured track of the schola’s new album, Resurrexit Sicut Dixit. The motet’s text is a joyous prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and perfectly encapsulates the triumphant spirit of her Son’s victory over death:

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia!
The Son whom you merited to bear
Has risen, as He said, alleluia!

A copy of the schola’s album was sent across the sea to Mr. Dalitz in Germany, which he graciously complimented and posted on his personal YouTube channel. Please take a moment to see more of his work and subscribe to his channel if you enjoy it! Many thanks and blessings to Mr. Dalitz – your talent and generosity are a credit to the sacred music community and to the Church!
