St. Vincent Camerata
John will be singing with the Saint Vincent Camerata this weekend for a concert featuring the “Messe Solennelle” by Louis Vierne, “Cantique de Jean Racine” by Gabriel Faure, and “Dum Aurora” by G.P. da Palestrina. This beautiful program will be accompanied by organists Chaz Bowers and Aaron Sproul from St. Bernard Parish in Mount Lebanon, and will also feature the Saint Vincent Schola Gregoriana as they chant the Gregorian Propers for the Feast of St. Cecilia (the patron saint of music).


The concert will begin at 7pm Saturday, April 22, in the Saint Vincent Basilica (in Latrobe), and will be repeated at 4:30pm Sunday, April 23, at St. Bernard Church (in Mount Lebanon). The Saint Vincent Camerata was founded in 1968, and is comprised of 30 singers from St. Vincent College and the surrounding community. Their repertoire features Renaissance polyphony, Baroque, Classical, and even Contemporary sacred music. Those wishing to join the Camerata are encouraged to contact the director, Fr.
