The Schola Cantorum of St. John XXIII Parish is making waves in the Diocese of Pittsburgh this holiday season. Their Advent/Christmas album, “Christum Natum Adoremus” is being promoted online, in the news, and on the radio!
Dozens of CDs were sold after the English and Latin Masses over the week of Christmas at St. Boniface Church, thanks to the support of the choir, their families, the congregation, and Father James Dolan, co-pastor of St. John XXIII Parish. In addition, a personal copy was graciously received by the Most Reverend David A. Zubik, Bishop of the Diocese Pittsburgh.
The schola was also mentioned in an article from the December 18th edition of The Pittsburgh Catholic, and the album is currently being played on 106.7 FM, WAOB. Don’t forget that the album is also available digitally on iTunes, and physically on Amazon.com. The schola is now recruiting for all voices, and those interested in learning more about the program, or scheduling an audition are most encouraged to visit stjohnxxiiiparish.org/music.
The album has enjoyed a tremendously encouraging reception across the diocese, and the schola is looking forward to their next project. Stay tuned for upcoming details about their new recording for Lent and Easter!
